LOOK, LISTEN, MAKE STUFF

I am a visual artist living and working in Seattle, WA, USA.

My paintings translate memory and emotion through intuitive and persistent practice. Inspired by the study of psychology and the unconscious mind, I explore the things that can’t be seen in the physical world. My observance of everyday life and human sentiment is abstracted in order to show the possibility that some of the greatest things which surround us each day, cannot always be expressed through a practical lens but rather one that we create and build exclusively within our own minds.

The ambiguity and surprise that abstract art lends itself to as well as the time it can take for each element within a painting to emerge is the very reason I find this kind of art so awe-inspiring, as if it has it’s own personality.

In addition to my studio practice, I own and run a small business in the maritime industry.
